Day in the life of a production worker

I spoke too soon.

In my last blog post, I whined (and I think it was a whine from the tone my 2 hr past self wrote it), about how little stress we have.

Well, we had 3 jam ups for far, totally 30 minutes of scrap. Gonna hurt our numbers on yield efficiency something hard.

Our supervisors are in a good mood today though, and I realized how much stress the crew goes through is directly related to how the supervisors communicate their expectations and our failure to meet them. Or the lack of communication. Likewise, the supervisor's stress level is directly related to how hard the production superintendent is riding them (who in this instance did not come from production , but rather the warehouse shipping and handling).

Taking into consideration that production can sometimes have some drama on the floor, *seldom here though*, i'm thinking that this might be because the plant is probably 97% male. But who knows. The two other places i've worked at were overwhelmingly female.
