Hat trick
In soccer, scoring three consecutive goals by any single player is known as a hat trick.
This goal (pardon the pun) of scoring three goals is an indicator of skill in footwork, physical prowess and mental agility above and beyond all others on the field at the time. It gives international players (and their ardent fans), a sense of overwhelming victory. On top of that, the flight of exuberance gives an on top of the world feeling (especially during a world cup their team us in), likely linked to a release of various biochemicals in the brain such as seratonin, causing us to be unable to help but smile.
Incisentally, seratonin making us smile, has a tetiary effect. This is because smiling closes off vascular tissue leading to the brain. The result; less blood flowing in blood vessals to the brain lowers the brain temperature, which makes us happy. Cool brain = happy, warm brain with increased vado-dilation = angry.
Now, body temperature rises during sleep, hence we are grumpy when we wake up. Especially in the summer. Warm countries can counter this by having air conditioning which is AMAZING in the tropics.
Likewise, alcohol reduces blood flow, and gives us an addictively happy feeling.
Children, whose body temperature run higher than adults, are by nature prone to fits of temper tantrums, especially toddlers.
